The much-anticipated Young Manufacturing DPMS 308 BOLT CARRIER GROUP is beginning to reach the hands of shooters. Unfortunately the first member of 308AR.com to get one if these in is hands has had a less than desirable first hand experience. His weapon is unable to fire more than one round. Looking at the attached image makes the reason pretty obvious. What we are seeing is more evidence of parts compatibility due to the lack of a standard. Young Manufacturing has been made aware of the problem and I have no doubt they will correct the issue and bring a stellar product to market.
I will update this post when the replacement bolt carrier group is in ythe hands of the forum member
Hello, I just thought I would let you know that I got an e-mail from Young Manufacturing today to let you know that my bolt carrier is on it’s way back. This is really quick considering they are in Phoenix AZ and I’m in southeast NC, and it shipped from me only yesterday.
